RIWOspine Endoscopy trainings

Intensive Course I for Monoportal Endoscopy

Gain a solid foundation in the principles and techniques of full-endoscopic spine surgery. This 1.5-day course introduces the key approaches and criteria and provides hands-on experience with endoscopic procedures on the lumbar spine, preparing surgeons to start performing full-endoscopic spine surgery in their own clinics.

Intensive Course II for Monoportal Endoscopy (Interlaminar)

1-day intensive course for surgeons with prior experience that want to deepen their knowledge on interlaminar approaches for discectomy or spinal stenosis (central / lateral) on the lumbar and thoracic spine.

Intensive Course II for Monoportal Endoscopy (Foraminal)

1-day intensive course for surgeons with prior experience that want to deepen their knowledge on intra-, extra- and transforaminal techniques on the lumbar and thoracic spine.

Master Class Course for Monoportal Endoscopy (Cervical)

1-day masterclass on full-endoscopic cervical spine surgery for advanced surgeons that want to extend their experience with the posterior interlaminar approach. Two surgeons per workstation, each equipped with a human cadaver specimen.

Master Class Course for Monoportal Endoscopy (Uniportal Fusion)

1-day masterclass on uniportal lumbar full-endoscopic fusion surgery for advanced surgeons that want to extend their expertise in endoscopic fusion procedures. Lectures on techniques, indications and extensive hands-on sessions on cadaver specimens.

Nexon’s Continuing Professional
Development (CPD):

Excellent surgical results are achieved through sound training and further education

Our independent CPD team supports surgeons and surgical teams in their further development - with a clear focus on spinal endoscopy. Our programmes offer both sound fundamentals and advanced techniques at various training levels and accompany participants individually on their path to surgical success. The Nexon training courses combine practical hands-on exercises with up-to-date theoretical knowledge. Small groups (max. 8 participants) and two experienced faculties enable intensive learning and targeted feedback.

Explore

The Spine Club is an open Swiss community for spine surgeons with the aim of sharing knowledge, developing skills and driving innovation.

In formats such as roundtables, symposia and bootcamps, we create practical learning spaces for all levels of experience - from entry-level to specialisation. Bootcamp participants receive a comprehensive overview of monoportal and biportal technology as well as foraminal and interlaminar approaches. The aim is to convey the various technologies in an understandable way and to provide participants with a sound basis for decision-making: Do I want to pursue endoscopic surgery? And if so, with which technology? The boot camp therefore also serves as an orientation for the next possible training steps.

In the Innovation Lab, other modern technologies such as navigation, cages and stabilisation systems, BoneScalpel or VCF solutions can be familiarised with and tested in practice on simple models - including the endoscopic systems.

Individual & flexible: We are happy to put together a tailor-made training programme for interested surgeons. Supported by Nexon, but independent in its focus, the Spine Club stands for open training and continuous development in spinal surgery.

Learn

Our learning concept is based on a practical, skills-orientated curriculum:

  • E-learning modules provide sound basic knowledge

  • Case discussions & problem sessions sharpen clinical decision-making skills

  • Hands-on activities promote technical skills and the right mindset

  • Communities of practice strengthen collegial exchange and peer learning

  • Mentoring programmes bring knowledge directly into practice

In this way, learning is focussed, structured and sustainable.

Master

With our concept of lifelong learning, we support surgeons over the long term - with targeted modules, practical user meetings and continuous access to expert knowledge in the Nexon Knowledge Centre, so that you not only stay up to date, but also continue to develop - for better results, greater safety and a strong future for minimally invasive spinal surgery.

Further training & focus topics

In addition to our structured training formats, we also offer regular roundtable discussions and further training on other current spinal surgery topics.

Based on formats such as the Arthroplasty Roundtable, the focus is on peer-to-peer dialogue, high-quality case discussions and inspiring conversations. The events create an open platform for experts, up-and-coming surgeons and interested parties to discuss complex cases, share personal experiences and learn from each other - in a practical, well-founded manner and at eye level.

Whether new surgical approaches, tricky indications or interdisciplinary issues - our roundtables promote professional dialogue and provide impetus for daily practice.

We invite you to join in the discussion, think ahead and actively shape the future of spinal surgery together.
Stay curious - our event calendar is always full of new ideas for you.
