The VERTICALE Triangular Fixation System is used for interventions to stabilise the lumbar-pelvic region, the posterior pelvic ring and the sacroiliac region.

INNOVATIVE SCREW-IN-SCREW TECHNOLOGY

The uniqueness of VERTICALE TriFix lies in the direct connection of the SI screw with the Ilium screw (screw-in-screw technology). The system thus offers additional semi-rigid fixation. This is considered to be a step forward compared to the systems currently available on the market, where screw loosening and ‘screw back-outs’ are cited in the literature as postoperative clinical problems.

CONTROLLED SCREW PLACEMENT

Unlike other procedures, with VERTICALE ® Triangular Fixation the iliac screw is placed first. Using a radiolucent guide wire, a guide wire is placed in a controlled manner through the fenestration of the iliac screw into the sacral target segment (S1 or S2). The SI screw is then inserted over this wire in a guided manner.

SPECIAL IMPLANT DESIGN FOR GOOD PRIMARY FIXATION
The screws for ilio-sacral fixation (SI screws) are pre-assembled and can be used directly. There is a choice between SI screw with pre-assembled washer or a pre-assembled plate. The use of the SI screw with plate enables additional fixation with a locking screw with a stable angle and serves as back-out protection.

A lag screw (partially threaded screw) can be used to compress the fracture of the sacral bone.
